moving across country in a week, and changing high schools, help?

okay, so in a week i’ll be moving across the country from new england to wisconsin.
my family is going through a bankruptcy/divorce and that’s why we’re moving, since our extended family is back in wisconsin and they can help support us.
i’m a freshman, and i’m transferring from a small rural high school (grades 7-12) with only around 350 students enrolled, to a big regional high school (grades 9-12) with 1,200 students enrolled.
i just recently came out of clinical depression (no medication, just a lot of therapy.) and have had several bad experiences at my current school, so can i have some tips on adjusting and making a fresh start?
also, i DO have friends at my current school that i have grown pretty close with and would like to stay in touch with (i have a facebook and other things of the like), but could i just have some tips on not missing them as much?
and maybe making friends in such a big school?
some other info that might help:
-i supposedly have a guy who’s my age (15) who lives next door to the house i’m renting (this is according to the landlord)
-two of my cousins (ages 16- guy and 18-girl) attend a high school in the next district but live around 10 minutes away from where i will be living.
any tips on how to adjust? thankss! <3
